Mr. Arun Das O.P is an Assistant Professor (Tourism). He holds a Ph.D. in Tourism from Pondicherry University, where his research focused on the behavioral intentions of international volunteer tourists visiting India, employing a mixed-methods approach grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior. With a multidisciplinary academic background including an MBA in Tourism and a B.Sc. in Aircraft Maintenance Science, Mr. Das brings a unique blend of theoretical insight and industry experience.

His areas of expertise include sustainable tourism development, special interest tourism, consumer behavior, and tourism marketing. He has published research in reputed journals and presented papers at national and international conferences. A recipient of both Junior and Senior Research Fellowships from the UGC, Mr. Das is also skilled in business analytics and data science tools such as R, SPSS, SmartPLS, and NVivo. Passionate about teaching and academic inquiry, he is committed to fostering socially responsible tourism and contributing to policy, practice, and pedagogy in the field.
