Gender Club

GPM Government College started a gender club in association with Kudumbasree (It is the poverty eradication and women empowerment programme implemented by the State Poverty Eradication Mission (SPEM) of the Government of Kerala) with the intention of sensitizing the students about various issues related to gender.

The club should also aim to create awareness of gender diversity and promote discussion of issues relating to gender identity and expression.

  • To foster a sense of community and support among students who are interested in issues related to gender, and to provide a space for them to connect and learn from one another.
  • To encourage students to challenge gender stereotypes and norms, and to promote a more inclusive and equitable society.
  • To provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to advocate for gender equality and to support individuals who are marginalized based on their gender.
