• The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at GPMGCM was established in the year 2014 to promote quality enhancement of all aspects of College functioning.
  • Over the years it has evolved mechanisms and procedures to ensure efficient, effective and progressive performance of academic and administrative tasks and to maintain relevance and quality of the academic programs.
  • IQAC focuses on quality enhancement of teaching, learning, evaluation, research, extension and consultancy opportunities.
  • The IQAC meets periodically to review the progress of the College and its quality enhancement based on the criteria suggested by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)and suggests actions for further strengthening and sustaining the quality.
  • The quality of the academic programmes are ensured through constant monitoring.
  • The College has adopted the following mechanisms / processes for internal quality checks.
    1. Self appraisal reports submitted by teachers every year.
    2. Students' feedback on various academic programmes is received to understand and evaluate their impact on and usefulness to students.
    3. Evaluation of teachers by students at the end of every semester.
    4. Organisation of workshops of Quality Assurance and Management at regular intervals to sensitise the faculty on these issues.
    5. Academic Quality Assurance of faculty induction.

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

 

  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and sustenance through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

 

  • To attain the vision of the institute through executing, channelizing the strategic plan.

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks parameters through periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit to promote quality and accountability.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organize workshops and seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Develop an organised methodology of documentation leading to quality improvement.
  • Integrate quality related activities in the institution including adoption and dissemination of good practices.
  • Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) preparation and submission.
