• Admission to various degree courses and PG courses are initiated through the notification of Kannur University.
  • The same will be published in the University website (www.kannuruniversity.ac.in), in the national and regional dailies and in the website of the college (www.gpmgcm.ac.in). 
The admission to various courses is purely based on merit and as per government rules. The institution provides proper environment to maintain social and religious harmony and cultural synchronization and encourages to bring out the innate talents of the students. A sense of social commitment and respect for traditional value system nurtured in the budding academics and professionals, so as to cater to the societal needs.
 
COURSES AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

The students who have passed the qualifying examination from the University/Board out side the state of Kerala shall be admitted only after obtaining the eligibility certificate issued from the University. 

Relaxation of minimum marks for physically handicapped candidates for Post Graduate courses. 

Physically handicapped students with a permanent disability up to 50% and more as per internationally accepted norms will be permitted a concession of 5% of maximum marks prescribed for the qualifying examination for admission to the Post Graduate courses. 
 
Method of selection of Vocational Higher Secondary Education passed outs for higher studies

Interuniversity University Consultative Committee considered the proposal and resolved that the marks obtained by the candidates in the final year of the vocational Higher Secondary Education examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and the marks obtained in the subject for which the admission is sought are to be taken in to consideration for giving admission to courses of higher studies offered by the University provided the Vocational Higher secondary candidates are eligible for admission to such courses.

Admission of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Eligible Community/Socially and Educationally Backward Community students to various courses.

The Rules regarding reservation of seats for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Eligible Community/Socially and Educationally Backward Community candidates for admission to various courses stipulate that:
 
a) 15% of the sanctioned number of seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste applicants and 5% shall be reserved for Scheduled tribe students.
 
 b) If there are not enough Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates to fill up the 20% of seats so reserved, the vacant seats shall be filled up by Other Eligible Community candidates.
 
 c) 20% of the sanctioned number of seats shall be reserved for other Backward Community applicants subject to the condition that annual income of the parent/guardian of the applicant is below:-
    BA/B Com/B Sc -   Rs.25,000/-
    M Com/M.Sc -   Rs.42,000/- 
There may be possibility that some seats reserved either for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes may remain unfilled (in the course of admission). In such cases, the unfilled seats reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates will be filled by admitting Scheduled Tribe candidates and vice versa.
 
d) 10 % of the seats shall be reserved for FCBPL category

Additional Marginal Increase of seats for various courses.

The University will grant additional marginal increase of seats as per the request of the Principal subject to the following conditions:
 
 i. The University/Government shall not take any additional financial commitment by way of staff, equipment, building or any other matter in this regard.
ii. There will be sufficient library/laboratory facilities for the increased number of students.
iii. Rules of admission shall be followed in filling up the additional seats and admission shall be from the rank list already published.
iv. The additional marginal increase sanctioned is for that particular academic year only.
v. Increased seats may be filled up on the basis of merit only after allowing for the reservation for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.
 

Fees at the following rates are payable by all students of the college:
 
  •  i. Tution Fee
  • Tuition fees for BA/B Sc/B Com course is   Rs.1000/- (2 terms @ Rs.500/-) for each year.
  • Tuition fees for M Com course is   Rs.1800/- (2 terms @ Rs.900/-) for each year.
  • Tuition fees for M Sc course is   Rs.1800/- (2 terms @ Rs.900/-) for each year.
